The eviction crisis is devastating the most vulnerable members of our society. The lack of affordable housing is the foundation of many of America’s social problems, including malnutrition, lack of prenatal care, long-term health and poverty. At Raineth, we want to do our part to help ease the stress on low-income families, especially those with a one parent household. That is one reason we ensure our rental fees are among the lowest in the Cincinnati area.
Most of our Raineth tenants are making ends meet on an annual income between $25,000 and $35,000. We understand that sometimes circumstances outside of their control can cause them to be late with their monthly rent payment. Eviction is the last course of action we’d ever want to take.
We’re proud that our eviction rates in Cincinnati fall well below the national average. Last year, our rate of eviction was one percent. At Raineth, we only file for eviction if the tenant repeatedly ignores our telephone calls, e-mails, texts and visits when their rent is 20 or more days past due. We work with our tenants to arrange for a payment plan, as our goal will always be to provide stable housing, while our tenant families work to get back on their feet.
